Patar, LightHouse, Caves, Bolinao AdvenTour

The Cape Bolinao Lighthouse at Patar rises around 30 meters high atop Punta Piedra Point, a towering hill of solid rock which is the sharp point of Cape Bolinao itself. The lighthouse was built way back in 1905 by a joint effort between Filipino, American, and British engineers.

The light house is still functional as of this day and it is powered by the solar panels installed in there.

There is a view deck on the west side of the lighthouse which offers an amazing view of the South China Sea (or West Philippine Sea as what we should call it) and Patar Beach not far away.

Walking atop the steep hill where the lighthouse is built, you can see ruins of what used to be the barracks of the people who man the light house. Unluckily we cant able to climb up to the light house since the gate was padlocked.
The lighthouse can actually be walked if you are coming from Patar Beach. Just make sure your knees are strong enough as the walk up the Punta Piedra Point is quite a challenge in itself :p
Don't forget to visit the Cape Bolinao Lighthouse as it one of the must visit places if ever you are in Bolinao, Pangasinan.

Abrac Beach also known as "Patar Beach" is located at Brgy. Patar, Bolinao. It is one of the top beaches in Pangasinan. It has a strong waves coming from West Philippine Sea and a lovely sunset to watched for.

It has an almost fine white sand and blue green waters. With its strong waves, somehow it can be good for surfing.

Children sells sea shells accessories.

This was taken in Treasures Resort in Patar. If you want to visit this place, just ask me :)

Look familiar? if you've been watched the Agent X44 movie lead by Vhong Navarro, this was it! :)

This was taken in Punta Riviera Resort, a very nice place to stay.

There are three caves in Bolinao which are named the Enchanted Cave, Wonderful Cave and Cindy's Cave. We went first to Cindys cave and luckily we're the only human being inside the cave on that day. We did not bother to visit the wonderful cave already because we were to excited to swim!
Enchanted Cave which by chance also has the most expensive entrance fee among the three caves. How overpriced are they? Well, there is a parking fee for vehicles depending on size, even motorbikes and tricycles, which is P20 and P50 for SUVs. As for the entrance, it is P70 per head and an additional P30 per head if you would swim inside the cave. You can compare that to Cindy's Cave fixed at P50 per head and at Wonderful Cave which is P40 per head and 70 per head if you'll go swimming.

Anyway the Enchanted Cave is still a beauty on its own and one of the places you should visit if you ever find yourselves in Bolinao, Pangasinan. ;)
